Amy Gamage
Amy was born in Randolph, Vermont, and
moved to Las Vegas
in 1997. In 1999, Amy received her
Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with honors at the University
of Nevada, Las Vegas.
While at the University
of Nevada, Amy received
the Regents Award for her internship with Temporary Assistance for Domestic
Crisis/Safe Nest, and was a member of the Psi Chi National Honor Society. Amy also participated extensively with the
Association for Advancement of Behavioral Therapy, American Psychology
Association, Community Action Against Rape, Trauma Intervention Program, and
conducted research on child abuse and neglect treatment, and the effects of
witnessing domestic violence on children.
In 2003, Amy
graduated from the University of Nevada, Las
Vegas - Boyd School of Law. While at the Boyd School of Law, Amy served
as a judicial extern for the Honorable Linda B. Riegle, United State Bankruptcy
Court, and as a research assistant. Amy
was also a member of the Academic Standards Committee and served as the
Business and Publications Editor for the Nevada Law Review Journal. Amy also participated extensively with the
Student Bar Association and was a founding chapter member of Phi Alpha Delta
Law Fraternity.
After successfully
passing the Nevada Bar, Amy has practiced primarily in the areas of Business
and Corporate Law, Estate Planning, Real Estate Law, Civil Litigation and
Family Law matters. Transactional
services for clients included income tax planning, asset protection planning,
business planning, business succession planning, drafting of contracts and
their negotiation, estate planning, probate, and commercial and residential
property transfers. Family law services
for clients included premarital agreements, post-nuptial agreements, separation
agreements, marital settlement agreements, divorce, child custody and
visitation, child support, spousal support and alimony, property rights and
divisions, termination of parental rights, adoption, and domestic violence. In addition to her Nevada Bar membership, Amy is a member of
the American Bar Association, the Clark County Bar Association, the Nevada
Trial Lawyer's Association, and the Association of Trial Lawyers of
America.
